Running October 12 – 20, B-side is a FREE, family-friendly pop-up installation designed to engage the community and showcase locally-based artists and their art forms – spanning the spectrum from vision to performance and everything in between – where you can come and see (and even take part) in a variety of events, projects, and pieces created.

This project, a collaboration between theREP, Proctors, and local artist Adam Frelin, involves over 30 artists including: Gregor Wynnyczuk will host a “parlor series” called B-sidewalk Stories; poetry by poets such as D. Colin and Kristin Diotte; writers with the NYS Writers Institutes who will read excerpts of their work; DJ Trumaster spinning ambiance for the space; dancers such as Anna Pillot; performance artists including Jack Magai and Hana van der Kolk; theatre troupes such as The Troy Foundry Theatre, Illuminate Theatre, MopCo Improv Theatre, and Black Theatre Troupe of Upstate New York; musicians including the Ramblin’ Jug Stompers, The B.L.A.C.K. Label, Congeros and Justin Friello (known for his solo work as well as Stockade Kids); visual artists such as muralist Michael Conlin, artist Alisa Sikelianos-Carter, photographer Jason Van Stavern, Melissa Sarris doing a “Chalkboard Collective”, sculptor Maddi LaVallee, and more!
