The Wikipedia entry for Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" lists well over a dozen cinematic and theatrical adaptations, as well as all sorts of literary works derived from, influenced by or directly about the classic tale.
Austen's novel, published in 1813, has clearly stood the test of time.
Actor/director Daniel Elihu Kramer chalks the work's enduring charm up to one simple fact. "It's a hoot." Kramer is the creator of "Pride@Prejudice," a stage piece that puts Austen's story into a more contemporary light.
