The Record
ALBANY – If you love the music of Ella Fitzgerald (and who doesn’t?) you will have a great time at “Ella,” the cabaret posing as musical theatre playing at Capital Repertory Theatre in Albany through Aug 12.
Tina Fabrique, who assumes the persona of Ella Fitzgerald, is an amazing singer and the song selection is sensational. It is impossible not to enjoy the two hour show which makes you appreciate the gigantic talent of Ella Fitzgerald.

Ella
It's 1966 and the first lady of song Ella Fitzgerald, performed by the incomparable Broadway veteran Tina Fabrique, is preparing for one of the most important concerts of her career.
Before the night is over she will jam with Louis Armstrong, reflect on her life and love of music and bring the house down with soulful song, swinging scat and scintillating hits like "A Tisket, A Tasket," "How High the Moon," "That Old Black Magic" and "They Can't Take That Away From Me".
